Our business has been open in Fleet now for over 50 years. I know I don’t look that old, and I haven’t been here since day one! But the Ace Electric name is over half a century old. We like to think we’ve worked hard (and we continue to work hard) for the good reputation that we have locally.
A Google Review arrived in the Ace Electric in-box recently. You can read it below. I’m sharing it because it reminded me of the most important things in business. Service is everything. Products are important i.e. price, quality and reliability. But service is what people remember.

My fridge freezer decided to break down at the weekend. The fridge part wasn’t chilling, so to the Ace Electrics website I went. I have used them several times before, so knew I would be getting a first rate service. I ordered the fridge, Paul phoned me just to check a couple of details, and today was the date made for delivery. The fridge has just been delivered, fitted, and the old one and all the packaging taken away. Excellent service as always. Thank you Paul for your great service, and very helpful advice.
We had an issue with another customer recently regarding installation. More specifically, what the installation service is. We are guilty of assuming people will know that to us the installation service includes:
- Pre-order onsite survey
- Order
- Delivery
- Removal of old product
- Installation of new product
- Taking old product away for responsible disposal
- Removal from site of all packaging
The customer queried our installation charge based only on how long it took our 2-person team to put the new appliance in place. It’s a lesson learnt for us; that we can better in informing customers each time what the installation service will be for them.
